Q&A

I've been having issues achieving a hot throw with this oil. I'm using 464 soy wax, and my process is to add the fragrance at 185 F and mix thoroughly for 5 minutes. Then, I pour at 135 F. I'm using a 9 oz. straight sided amber canning jar and a 9% fragrance load with a CD 12 wick. I've tried lower fragrance loads as well, including 8%, 7%, and 6% with no success. My candle-making process works perfectly for all of my fragrance oils except Cozy Cabin. Is this fragrance oil known to have a subtle throw in soy wax? Is it compatible with soy wax? I know some fragrance oils don't work very well in soy, but I purchased this oil under the impression that all The Flaming Candle's fragrance oils are strong performers in soy wax since the website says that all the oils are "formulated to work in both paraffin and soy."
Hi J! Please review our Resource Center for troubleshooting suggestions and information on achieving a strong throw. This fragrance is not overpowering or sharp, and is usually more subtle. Please email info@theflamingcandle.com for further assistance.
is this one coming back soon? This has been a best seller for me for 4 years.
